We try to stop bad development through land use and zoning policy work.  This often takes the form of lawsuits and related actions.  We focus heavily on local and state government, with an eye towards national impacts.

One of our favorite wins was the 2013 reversal of the 2009 Prince George’s County Subregions V & VI Master Plans, which would have wreaked havoc on the southern third of the county. Another is our 2014 victory against the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners, nullifying their 2013 attempt to remove all zoning from the Dominion Cove Point LNG facility property in an effort to fast-track approval of the proposed LNG export plant there.
